Art Festival

Featured Image Artist
Ummarid "Tony" Eitharong

Ummarid “Tony” Eitharong is a soft spoken, intense man, who has spent the better part of the past 40 years participating in art festivals around the country. Coming to the United States from his native Thailand when he was 17, Tony is a self-taught artist. Beginning with large scale photo realistic pencil drawings, Tony transitioned to mixed media, large-scale compositions and now focuses on acrylic abstract artwork. His work is featured in numerous public and private collections in the United States and Europe.

Mayfaire-by-the-Lakes began as a crafts fair on the lawn of the Lakeland Public Library, and has grown into one of Florida’s premier outdoor art festivals. Held on Mother’s Day weekend each year, Mayfaire is located on the shores of beautiful Lake Morton in downtown Lakeland, Florida. Mayfaire is one of the largest and oldest outdoor art festivals in Central Florida and is on Sunshine Artist magazine’s prestigious “Best 200 Art Shows” list as number 20 in 2016. Come see why it has such a great reputation!

Local musicians, dance companies, and VSA of Florida perform on stage on the front lawn of the Lakeland Public Library throughout the weekend.
